EDUCATION
A Los Angeles native, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. I also studied Psychology and Social Policy at the University of York in England.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
From 1999 till 2002, I served on the Board of Directors of the Global Children’s Organization. GCO is a peace-based non-profit that hosts camps for kids who have suffered through war and violence; camps have been held in Northern Ireland, the Balkans and Los Angeles. As a Board member and active volunteer, I served on the Communications Committee and helped re-design the website and brochure. I also participated internationally as a camp counselor for three years.

The boys from N. Ireland

Kids from the Balkans were brought together on Badija Island off the coast of Croatia. There, the kids and volunteers healed and reconciled through play.

GCO is one of several organizations that has captured my attention and heart. Beginning with the League for Crippled Children when I was a child, I’ve continued to give time and energy to worthy organizations. I have been a Big Sister, volunteered for political candidates, and have hand delivered games to orphanages around the world.

GLOBE TROTTING
Travel around the world continues to inspire me personally and professionally, especially in my games and stories. A few of my favorite places:

London

South Africa

Costa Rica

Black Rock City, Nevada

Palm Desert
