My experience as a teacher has evolved much since 1997. Combining a reverence for language and learning, I have conducted many sessions about Word Games at the Student Writers’ Conference at Alta Vista School in Redondo Beach, California. This conference inspires kids to find their inner voices and express themselves through words. This annual conference has met such great success, it has evolved into a city-wide event: The Young Writers’ Conference. The Young Writers’ Conference has held sessions at UCLA, Stephen S. Wise Temple School and Peninsula Heritage School in Palos Verdes. There, I’ve taught not only word games, but also travel writing. I’m always happy to work with students…of all ages. At the college level, I guest lectured on content and game development at Otis College of Art and Design. For years, I have also lectured on Games Design and Interactive Play Dynamics at the Academy of Entertainment & Technology at Santa Monica College.
